Wednesday, February 1, 2012 On February 1st., 2012 at approximately 1441 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with rescue at Plater Street/South Philadelphia Boulevard. Ambulance 892 was on scene at dispatch and they advised they had a rescue at the scene. Below are a couple pictures obtained.
Wednesday, February 1, 2012 On Wednesday February 1st, 2012 at approximately 0940 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for a Building Fire at the Days Inn at 983 West Bel Air Avenue.Engine 211 went en route minutes after the initial alert, Truck 1231 (APGFD) and Engine 211 arrived simultaneously, Lt. Diering established the Beards Hill Road Command on Side Charlie of 2-story motel structure. Crews from Engine 211 and Truck 1231 pulled a 1 3/4 preconnect hose line to the room, quickly upgraded to smoke and fire in the structure, also extending into a second room. Truck 231 and Engine 113 arrived minutes later, crews on scene placed 2nd 1 3/4 hoseline in service. The fire was quickly knocked by the crews on scene, approximately 10 minutes. There were no injuries to any civilians or personnel on scene.Command was initially held by Lieutenant Diering, then was held by Chief 2 (Hinch).Chief Hinch requested the Maryland State Fire Marshal, the cause of the fire is under investigation.Fire Spreads Between 2 Bedrooms at Days Inn- Aberdeen Patch
Thursday, January 26, 2012 On Thursday January 26th, 2012 at approximately 0513 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident w/rescue at Route 22/Interstate 95. Medic 291 was immediately enroute, followed by Rescue 251 and Engine 213. Medic 291 arrived to find a passengar vehicle and a tractor-trailer involved. Engine 213 and Rescue 251 arrived minutes later, assisting EMS crews with the patient, and stabilizing the vehicle. The patient was extricated in approximately 20 minutes. Crews also controlled the hazards and secured the scene. Chief 2 (Hinch) held the Route 22 command. Minutes into the extrication, Command requested the Maryland State Police Medivac to the scene. The patient was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced by medical personnel. There were no injuries to the tractor-trailer operator. Aberdeen Patch Article Baltimore Sun Article

Wednesday, January 11, 2012 On Wednesday January 11th, 2012 at approximately 2400 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident at Route 7/Hardees Drive. Units responded and found a vehicle had struck a tractor trailer. Units on scene assisted EMS and checked and removed any hazards on scene.
Tuesday, January 10, 2012 On Tuesday January 10th, 2012 the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for an Apartment Fire at 309 South Parke Street. Engine 211 (Chief Hinch) arrived finding heavy smoke conditions on Side Bravo/Charlie and Delta. Chief Hinch immediately requested the box to be filled. Crew immediately pulled a line into Side Alpha of the complex for extinguishment. Tower 231 arrived and was directed to report to Side Charlie to ladder the roof and ventilate, Tower 1231 (APGFD) arrived and was directed to also ladder the roof, two other firefighters from APGFD arrived and pulled a 2nd handline to assist with extinguishment. Engine 215 arrived and supplied supply line to Engine 211, while Engine 512 arrived and laid a line to Truck 1231. Other units on scene, Engine 514 Other units arrived on scene and assisted with checking for extension, assisting with extinguishment and ventilation. Saturday, January 7, 2012 Assistant Chief (D. Budnick) held the Clubhouse Road command. On January 7th, 2012 at approximately 0339 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for an Auto Fire Clubhouse Road between Perryman Road and Park Beach Drive. Engine 214 and Engine 211 arrived to find a fully involved auto in the park area on Clubhouse Rd. Crew of Engine 211 used front trash line from Engine 214 for extinguishment. Harford County Sheriff's Office was requested as well as the Maryland State Fire Marshall. Incident is under investigation.
Monday, January 2, 2012 On Monday January 2nd, 2012 at approximately 2045 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for an Auto Fire at the intersection of Route 40/Route 715.Engine 211 was the first unit en route, followed by Engine 213. Engine 211 was advised by Harford County EOC that the auto fire was at the intersection of Route 40/Route 715. As Engine 211 approached the area, there were no vehicles on the that portion of the roadway.Engine 211's crew glanced over on Route 715 just past Route 7, observed the vehicle. Engine 211 arrived to find a passenger vehicle well involved on the slow shoulder of Route 715 just prior to the entrance of Aberdeen Proving Ground. Engine 211's crew pulled the trash line and went to work extinguishing the fire in approximately 5 minutes.Engine 213 arrived and assisted Engine 211's crew with extinguishment and mop up.Lieutenant (Diering) held the Route 715 command.
Saturday, December 31, 2011 On December 31st, 2011 at approximately 0107 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for an Motor Vehicle Accident with Rescue. Paramedic 291/Paramedic 292 were en route immediately, followed by Engine 213 and Rescue 251. Paramedic 292 was the first unit to arrived, to find two vehicles involved, with one of the patients trapped in the vehicle. Engine 213 arrived, began stabilizing the vehicle, and then pulled an 1 3/4 line. Rescue 251 arrived, and assisted Engine 213's crew in stabilization, while preparing to extrication the patient from the vehicle. Crews worked for approximately 15 minutes to removed both driver's side doors, roof and roll the dashboard. Both patients were transported to the hospital. Other units on scene, Engine 211. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 On December 28th, 2011 at 2219 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for an Auto Fire at Darlington Avenue/Smith Avenue. Engine 211 arrived on scene, found a small fire in the engine compartment, was extinguished by Engine 211. Engine 212 and Engine 213 staged, the assignment was held to Engine 211 and Engine 213 Command by held by Lieutenant D. Crites
