Friday, July 9, 2010 - On Friday July 9th, 2010 at 1052 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was dispatched for a Building Fire in the area of 912 Walker Street.
Engine 211 was the first unit enroute, Engine 211 arrived on scene to find a working shed fire with smoke showing to the rear of 907 Harlan. Engine 211 stretched a 250' pre connected handline.
Truck 1231 (APG) and Engine 512 (Susquehanna Hose Company) arrived on scene and provided manpower. Crews used 447 gallons of water and 1 gallon of Class A foam to extinguish the fire.
Crews from Engine 512 and Truck 1231 overhauled wall's and roof area.
No injuries to firefighters or civilians on scene.
The cause of the fire was determined to be careless discarded smoking materials.
