Monday, June 7, 2010 - On June 7th, 2010 at approximately 0023 hours the Aberdeen Fire Department was alerted for a Dwelling Fire at 3 Grant Street.
Medic 291 was the first unit en route, followed within minutes by Engine 211. Medic 291 was the first unit on scene, advising of light smoke showing from Side Alpha.
Engine 211 arrived, deployed a 1 3/4 preconnect line, found an air conditioner that had fallen out of the window and set the room on fire. Crews worked to quickly extinguish the fire and hold the damage to minimal damage.
No injuries to citizens or emergency personnel on scene.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal was requested to the scene as well.
Battalion Chief 2-1 (D. Budnick) had the Grant Street command.
